I live in this building and am finally moving out soon. The construction has continued on and off for the better part of the last two years.

I thought about lease transferring as I still pay a pretty good price (I've contested any increases and was paying a good price thanks to multiple lease transfers before me before they bought the building) but with how bad the construction's been, even while many of us are trapped working from home thanks to covid, it felt wrong to even encourage someone to take over my lease. Some of the staff members are really nice and do try to be accommodating where they can, but ultimately this property management company is predatory, manipulative, and does not care about its tenants.

I received with satisfaction the visit of the building manager. All repairs in my apartment will be done in a few days, he promised me.

User's recommendation: 860 Blackthorne is a good place to live. Calm.

Long Term Mouse Infestation

I have had mice for eight months in my apartment and the owner's method of simply filling poison bait traps is not working. The mice are in the building as well as in my apartment and have ruined my furniture and clothing. I have done everything I can to solve this problem and they rarely answer or return my phone calls and often don't answer emails either.

User's recommendation: I would not recommend every renting here or any other apartment building owned by this company.

There is a mouse infestation in the building and I have had mice in my apartment.apartment for eight (8) months now.

The problem has been ongoing for eight (8) months. I have done everything I can to solve this, but the entire building has to be eradicated. The owner's methods aren't working, e,g. poison bait traps.

User's recommendation: Unless you want mice in your apt. don't move here.

Horrible management

If there is a serious problem and you need to get in touch with management, forget it. They are faceless, and unwilling to communicate with tenants. They just bought our building in Kitsilano Vancouver, and with all honesty, absolutely the worst. I thought Hollyburn was pathetic, but these people bring down to a whole new level of bad, rude,

Renter Beware!!

This company is completely not above board!.. They require you to pay a deposit when submitting your application for rental, not when your application is approved, these funds are sent to them via electronic transfer, which they are set up to receive but if you are not approved for their units they expect you to wait 2 weeks to have your funds returned to you VIA CHEQUE ..funny they don't say that up front.A

To compliment the service I received.

The maintenance man "SAM" who looks after the Hamilton area was sent to my apt. to do a repair because mice have inundated my apt. #305 @ 157 Pearl St.S., in Hamilton. He did everything in a timely fashion, was very neat and tidy and respected my belongings. I would have him come back anytime to do any repairs for me. I believe Rhianna is his supervisor or the Property Manager. At some time in the past, I also had "COURTLAND" repair and replace rods in my closets. He did an exemplary job as well and, again, he was courteous, neat and tidy. Both these men are keepers. I am "NOT" a pissed consumer, but didn't know where to put my assessment. Sorry, but I am not tech savvy. Marilyn Ritcey.

Poor Business Practises

Tenant parking only. So they rented out a parking space to people without cars and have arrangements for family members to use our parking spaces because where they have to park is too expensive. Making actual tenants with cars wait for a space. They "upgraded" the entry with an electronic system that is unreliable and refuse to give a metal key for proper entry into the building. Snow shoveling is never done when my kids leave for school at 7:45. Which means more is expected from my children than their employees. They don't care about privacy of their tenants, as they took pictures of my children and posted them on their facebook page without my knowledge or permission. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Over priced for what you get. Laziness employees just don't care.

Trust me, you DONT want to live here

Worst property management company ever. You are a cash cow to them. They do illegal things and they do not care about your enjoyment of the space. How they keep tricking people into renting from them is beyond me.

A bad faith management company

CLV group recently bought the building on Fielding in Montreal. They served us with a rent renewal 6 months before the rent is up. When trying to ask for information pertaining to the original contract as well as find out general information about the place, they act in bad faith and refuse to answer my query or be rude in their response. I would caution any reader from renting a CLV property. They negotiate in bad faith, and you must chase them to get what you are legally allowed.

They are scammers and liars, they pretend that they sent out a rent increase renewal notice and apply the rent increase without your knowledge, when they were asked “when and how did you notify me of the rent increase”, one tenant was actually told “Our lawyer deposited the letter in front of their door 6 months ago »... and this was during the pandemic ... Tenant refused to make the extra amount payment, heading to court to dispute those fees

CLV Management, lowest paid staff, hiring Firing

CLV a horrible money hungry group of companies. The board of Directors never visit to take feedback from employees. Honest companies always do Anonymous surveys to find out how they improve their business.. But Clv does internal surveys with names attached..what a joke...Upper management is not interested in listening to employees at all never...ever...! Local managers all suck and please senior managers...thus hiding reality. Very badly managed accounting department. Maintenance and staff spend their own money on gas and other day to day tools... gas cards are only given to those who flatter managers.. no honesty... no increase... not even at inflation rate... one manager who has not work to do is Cindy ..near Hamilton... She and her husband do nothing... just pass time here and there just because Cindy is very close to a fat *** senior manager Dave....who works as pathetic as his physique is ! What a joke... no direct feed back is taken by Director president McMahon....stay away from working in this company

Really bad services

I have been living in that builiding for 2 years now and trust it is the worst experience as a rental proprieties: *first i had a parking that i payed and many times some else came to park on my spot; i reported to the administration office and they did nothing about it *there is 3 elevator in that building and every month one of goes down, lately one of the three has been shut down for 8 months and the 2 others renaming work intermittently *whenever you call their line they don't pick up, they don't call you back except if you leave a message describing that you're calling to rent. And they do that on purpose. If you call for call to report a problem or anything else they don't pick the call.
