Rent is raised yearly, but the service standard remains the same (it's not good). Inability to address issues in a timely fashion, mold in the washroom, ants in every unit (I have checked with neighbours), rude staff. Maintenance portal sucks, call centre agents are rude, handymen they send to fix things don't fix them, they just jury rig whatever is happening and call it a day.

Hard to get appliances replaced and they come dirty. Refused to fix mold in bedroom told me to clean it. Months battle to get bathroom mold fixed had to call city twice. Complained about ceiling fan in bathroom for years and they always sent inexperienced people to fix it. Company is a complete red flag

Tired of having no hotwater CRAZY

I live at 1196 shillington k1z8l4... Its been 7 months now and where still having problems with the hotwater...we keep getting *** stories from the property manager that lives here ASHLEY...ever sense use people have hired her ..this place has turned into a *** dump and im sorry but im just being very blunt on the truth about this place and all the troubles that have been here in the last year and a half or i should say ever sense shes been here please send some 1 that knows what there doing and some 1 that will clean this place up some what its pathetic

Bad experience

They are the biggest liars you will ever encounter. They specialize in renovictions and victimizing tenants.

They lied to the city re: property evaluation and then use fraudulent numbers to inflate the value of their assets and then increase the rent to the max. If you are renewing a lease, they will use their fraudulent valuations to manipulate the judge and tip the scale in their favour. If you go to the Housing Authority or TAL in Quebec, know that CLV and Interrent REIT will lie, go to the city and get their info, if their tax info is fake then request a review. CLV and Interrent REIT reported the incorrect number of units, floors and tripled the valuation in 2 years.

It's a big red flag. If your space needs repairs, go to the city, get it inspected and then follow up religiously. Interrent and CLV's strategy is to lie to inspectors and claim that the work is done, that you refuse the repairs, that you moved etc. There is no limit to their lies.

3 renters in my building have experienced this. Also, they will increase your rent without authorization, accuse you of non-payment and threaten to sue you, they debit the new amount from your account and refuse to re-imburse you.

I can tell you all of the negative comments here are materially true. They are the Trump Organization of Ottawa.

For the SECOND time, they buy a building own by another company where I rent an apartment, and DISAPPEAR when it's time to give back the deposit given initially. It happen twice, once at Le Plateau, and now at le Mellem. No response, went onsite on the first time and they never ever give back my money. Curious to see for le Mellem if they'll keep ignoring me...

IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA READ THIS REVIEW AND UPDATES THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS AVOID ANY APARTMENT COMPLEX UNDER CLV GROUP!!!!

Since they don't have anywhere to review their other properties such as 165 Ontario Street, St. Catharines.

I highly recommend avoiding that complex apartment they own! There is constant construction, noise, dust, and jackhammering throughout the morning and even at night! They are completely careless to their tenants (we don't even have any on-site help and the crew they have there is NO HELP) This management has caused me nothing but increase depression and anxiety and I always make sure to turn people away when they want to move into one of their properties. Don't worry though if you do live at 165 Ontario Street, St.

Catharines they will bombard you for rent but never answer your concerns about the constant construction and noise on areas that have already been worked on prior to them obtaining the building less than three years ago.

Update Feb 16th: I have been in contact with their customer service. They are no help. Still, a lot of construction going on in 165 Ontario Street to the point where the building is like a construction site. Ceilings are apart, drilling and hammering, dust, paint fumes, you name it they have it here!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND finding somewhere else to live! I would wait ten years before living here! I'm currently in the process I've trying to find another job (like 2 jobs and a full-time student with a dog isn't enough) so I can move out of this place because I have reached my point! Someone else can live on this construction site but I am DONE!

Update Feb 24th: Hasn't even been ten days yet and I've been holding back the urge to go crazy! Turns out I'm the unlucky tenant who has construction in every corner of her apartment; upstairs and downstairs and on my floor. Do you know what they told me? Sometimes renovations are too important (basically what they said) for them to give me notice.

They then send me a notice from 2 weeks ago about one of the apartments having construction after I complained. You know it's sad when you can't go home and even sleep. I work overnights and the day is the only time I can get sleep. Before the construction was not as prevalent but now I'm literally suffering.

Every day I cry or scream because of the constant noise and lack of sleep.

THEY LITERALLY WERE DOING CONSTRUCTION ON FAMILY DAY! Now I can't even shower or wash my hair until later tonight (well the next day because I work nights) because they decided it was time to do water shut off.

The CLV group recently purchased the building we have been living in for 32 years. We were delighted with the new management for the first month as they had a good structure in place (tel Nos for repairs, snow clearing, etc.) however very disappointed to see that the company either has no knowledge of the laws in Quebec or they try to bully tenants into accepting changes that are illegal.

We were requested last week to empty our lockers and store their contents at our expense while they did renovations to comply with fire safety regulations. No date was provided regarding the lockers being available again and when we asked CLV to provide assistance with storage during renovations, they threatened to throw out the items in our lockers if they were not emptied by April 15th 2022.

Poor customer relations and illegal. What a pity.

Eviction for children noise

They are truly trying to evict us for children noise. We have installed mats, carpets and take our child out everyday for hours yet they still insist on exciting us. The unit below us are a pathetic old couple that should be in a retirement home. Awful people and clv group is a part of the problem.

Rude Receptionist at 614 Lake St. St.Catharines

My friend moved into the building in Sept. and has issues that require a health care worker to visit daily. They can't always gain access to the building because she doesn't always answer her phone. I asked the girl in the office (who is very rude) if there was a way for these workers to gain access. She suggested they each buy a key fob at $50 or call the police to do a wellness check (not sure how they would get in). When I suggested there should be a way for PSW'S to get in she said that"this isn't a nursing home". With that attitude not a great rep to have as your first point of contact. I know there are many seniors in that building that deserve a little more care, compassion and understanding than she demonstrated.

Yes on Kitsilano buildings; total do not comply with RTA requirements; no response to emails; serious pest control problem - nothing done just lay down bait traps that the exterminator says the mice do not touch -- everything needs to be sealed - have yet to do it six months later - have spent hundreds on my own traps.
